I’m thankful for a lot of things. I’m mostly thankful for the internet. Aside from the cliche “I’m thankful for my parents.” or “I’m thankful for my house, food, clothes, etc.” I’ll just be honest. The beauty of the internet is how it connects to the whole world. I have had foreign friends because of the internet. If i didn’t have the internet, I’d have no school friends right now. I love the internet! My closest friends (Nic Lipps, Zack Otis, Chris Bowman, Aaron Gray, and Devin McGuire) only are really my friends because we all talk outside of school on computer, where we also are able to play games together because of the internet. So that is honestly what I’m most thankful for.

Mamie Mobley’s controversial decision regarding her son’s funeral was for it to be open casket. The reason this decision was controversial was because Emmett’s body was highly maimed and disfigured. Although his body was mangled, she wanted the body to be seen so everyone knew what the people who kidnapped him did to him. I really can’t figure out what else to put here, so I’ll go ahead and tell you my personal opinion on her leaving it open. I feel that this decision was very hard, but at the same time was the right thing to do.

What did Mr. Beauchamp have to say about Mr. Nelson, and vice-versa?

What Mr. Beauchamp had to say about Mr. Nelson was, to quote him specifically, “Stanley Nelson – and I don’t want to talk bad about him – he knew I was working on this film. PBS turned me down many times; he’s a known documentarian. But I guess it was helpful that his film was done: it brought a lot of attention to this case.” Now, in the case of what Mr. Nelson said about him, he simply and politely said, “I’ve met him.” I don’t know how to elaborate on this. The question asked for what they said, and I said what they said in 2 sentences.

How does Mr. Nelson feel about having made the film “The Murder of Emmett Till”?

Mr. Nelson feels great and incredible about his documentary. He describes it as an honor and an emotional journey. He says at times it was difficult because of the emotions he felt while making it. My internet just went to crap and if this even submits I’ll be very surprised but I can’t write anymore without a specific source.
